Our mission at Your Other Half is to provide education and unwavering support and compassion to single parent households, foster care providers, and grandparents who find themselves raising their grandchildren out of necessity.
We are dedicated to creating a nurturing community that understands the unique challenges faced and offers a helping hand. Through comprehensive resources, guidance, and a network of caring individuals, we strive to empower these caregivers to create a brighter future for their families or those children under their care. Together, we can build a foundation of strength, resilience, and love, ensuring stronger neighborhoods and communities for everyone.
Our History
In response to the increasing demand for education and support, Your Other Half has emerged as a new nonprofit with a heartfelt mission to address the multifaceted needs of single parent households, foster care givers, and grandparents thrust into the role of primary caregivers. Our goal is to provide assistance in the areas of job and career advancement, affordable housing and home ownership, financial literacy, help with unexpected and preventative healthcare expenses, educational and recreational opportunities, discounted shopping and retail opportunities, and social connections. By tackling these critical challenges head-on, we seek to empower and uplift these caregivers, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to navigate their roles with confidence and resilience while making sure that the children under their care are on a level playing field with their peers from two parent families, with the same resources and opportunities.
